WHY IS IT HARD TO HOLD ONTO A FRIEND -Poetry

You made me laugh once.

You brought me flowers.

I still think about you, for hours and hours.

We were friends,

But now its suspended

Should we resume it, or has it ended?

There was good there,

And also pain.

If I contacted you, would it be in vain?

Life was good once,

For you and I,

But when I think of you, I only cry.

Why must friendship

Grow cold and end?

Why is it hard to hold onto a friend?
