VOID OF MOONS -Poetry by guest author Rp Verlaine

Updated: Oct 19, 2023

This pool of dark

water that has

no visible

reflection

yet a thousand

landscapes

and pliable boundaries

amid rubber faces

elastic as memory

yet less forgiving

this vast pool

of thoughts

I dive into

to dream

keeps you

long gone still

alive with me always.

On a raft that cannot sink

with only the sun to

be seen in each other's eyes

under a sky void of moons

or stars but its vultures

keep watch with prescient

menace oblivious

to our love, our hopes

despair when

we part until we or

I in closing

eyes again

see nothing.
