There is a boy inside.
He is brave as a warrior.
He will not bow down to others
And leave his will
To be trampled.
He is a champion,
An Olympian of losers,
As he stands in the ashes,
He is an example
To others equally lost.
He can no longer wait.
He must break free
From the judgment and
The scorn.
He must present his truth.
Will they accept?
Will they stand by?
Will he be triumphant?
Or will he be left alone,
Abandoned by those who once cared.
