Motherhood brings no glory, though it swells the heart within.
Exciting and painful for those who take the journey.
Bound by the demands, no longer free.
Stripping the mom of self, leaving her talents as a has-been.
From sun up to sun down, the mother hardly sleeps.
Much pleasure from her baby, yet the mother ridden with guilt.
Bonding and growing; relationships built.
A chore to feed the baby; the baby always eats.
Perhaps at times, she despises her role, she loves her kids with all her heart.
Giving her life for the child, she would sacrifice all.
But inward, her heart aches as she watches herself fall.
